BOONE, N.C.—Appalachian State University’s Department of Theatre and Dance will present the fundraiser “Roxanne’s Rivalry” in Room 420 (Parkway Ballroom) of the Plemmons Student Union on Dec. 3 at 8 p.m. Proceeds from the show help fund five annual scholarships for students majoring in theatre education.

Fall Appalachian Dance Ensemble to take place at Appalachian State University Nov. 16-19

BOONE—Appalachian State University’s Department of Theatre and Dance will premiere seven original dance works during the Fall Appalachian Dance Ensemble (FADE) Nov. 16-19 at 7 p.m. in Valborg Theatre on the university campus. Ticket prices are $10 for students and $17 for adults.

BOONE—Appalachian State University’s Department of Theatre and Dance will present the North Carolina Dance Festival (NCDF) in the Valborg Theatre on the university campus Oct. 27–29 at 7 p.m. The festival is a celebration of the state’s legacy of accomplished and admired dancers, and prices are $10 for students and $17 for adults.

Appalachian State University’s Department of Theatre and Dance presents ‘Selkie’ Sept. 28–Oct. 2

BOONE—Appalachian State University’s Department of Theatre and Dance will present “Selkie: Between Land and Sea,” Laurie Brooks’ award-winning drama, Sept. 28–Oct. 2 at Valborg Theatre on the Appalachian campus. The show, which continues the department’s tradition of staging plays for young adults on alternating years, was produced by special arrangement with Dramatic Publishing of Woodstock, Illinois.

Theatre and Dance presents the 2016 ‘First Year Showcase’

BOONE—The Appalachian State University Department of Theatre and Dance will present the 2016 “First Year Showcase” at 7 p.m. Sept. 22–24 with a 2 p.m. matinee Sept. 25. The production takes place in the university’s I.G. Greer Studio Theatre. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults.
