Appalachian Opera Theatre to present ‘The Magic Flute’ April 6-9

BOONE, N.C.—“The Magic Flute” has captivated audiences around the world many times since its 1791 premiere in Vienna. Appalachian Opera Theatre’s coming production of Wolfgang Mozart’s beloved opera aims to build on that success in variety of ways.

Admission is free, and, unless otherwise noted, a live stream of the performances will be available at https://music.appstate.edu.

BOONE, N.C.—Göran Marcusson, a renowned flutist from Sweden, will present a guest recital at 6 p.m. March 2 in the Broyhill Music Center’s Recital Hall at Appalachian State University. His pianist will be Dr. Rodney Reynerson, a professor of piano and the keyboard coordinator at Appalachian.
