Appalachian Percussion Ensemble to perform April 13

BOONE, N.C.—The Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University will present the Appalachian Percussion Ensemble in a concert at 8 p.m. April 13. The performance will take place in Rosen Concert Hall, Broyhill Music Center on the university campus.

Admission is free and a live stream of the performance will be available at https://music.appstate.edu.

Directed by Dr. Robert J. Falvo, a professor of percussion at Appalachian, the group will present the ninth concert in its “Open Mind” series. The program will feature two works by Elliot Cole: “Postludes” and “Amen.” Also featured will be Edgard Varese’s “Ionisation”; Bob Becker’s “Mudra”; and Wally Gunn’s “Tangram.” David Friedman and Dave Samuels’ “Nyack” will round out the program.
