Cindy Barr named associate vice chancellor for enrollment management at Appalachian

BOONE, N.C.—Cynthia Lawrence “Cindy” Barr will be the next associate vice chancellor for enrollment management at Appalachian State University. She will begin work Aug. 1, having most recently served as vice president of enrollment at Catawba College.

College of Arts and Sciences names Outstanding Student Teacher of the Year for 2016-17

Huff appointed Dean of the Beaver College of Health Services

BOONE, N.C.—Dr. Marie Huff, has been named dean of the Beaver College of Health Sciences at Appalachian State University. She was most recently dean of the College of Health and Human Services at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.  She begins her duties August 1, 2017.

Workers celebrated in ‘topping ceremony’ for Beaver College of Health Sciences building

BOONE, N.C.—More than 100 craftworkers looked upward, many with visible pride, as the final steel beam was lifted by crane to the top of Appalachian State University’s Beaver College of Health Sciences (BCHS) facility June 8. The building is slated to open in August of 2018.
