Summer Dance Series offered May 31 through June 30

BOONE—The Summer Dance Series sponsored by the Department of Theatre and Dance begins May 31 at Appalachian State University.

The series, which runs through June 30, will offer mixed beginning level classes featuring a variety of dance styles and bodywork classes. The classes are open to the public.
There will be African, tap, jazz, Greek dance, folk dance, creative movement, ballet, Pilates, yoga and much more.

Where: Room 208 Varsity Gym

When: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and some Fridays

Time: 5:30 p.m. (some classes will vary in length and be defined in the class descriptions).

These classes are open to all dancers and dance enthusiasts of all ages on campus and the local communities. The dance classes will be mixed beginning/intermediate levels with rotating teachers and dance styles for each class. Younger children ages 9 and under are welcome to attend with an adult. Parents may come and take classes with their children. There is no obligation to take all classes.

In lieu of a class fee, donations to the Visiting Artists and Dance Scholarship funds are welcome.
