Annual Messiah sing-along held Dec. 6

The 11th annual “Messiah” sing-along will be presented Sunday, Dec. 6, at 6 p.m. in Broyhill Music Center’s Rosen Concert Hall at Appalachian State University.

Hayes School of Music voice students will sing the arias and the audience will be invited to sing the chorus parts from the Christmas portion of Handel’s “Messiah,” including “Hallelujah.” Audience music will be provided.

Student soloists are sopranos Madeline Hamrick and Chloe Lucente and tenor Sam A. Wanamaker. Joby Bell will be the organist. Students Elijah English and Mary Robert McGrath will conduct the choruses. Admission is free.
