Comedian Ron White to perform April 16

BOONE—Comedian Ron White will perform at Appalachian State University Thursday, April 16, at 7 p.m. in Holmes Convocation Center.

White first rose to fame as the cigar-smoking, scotch-drinking funnyman from the Blue Collar Comedy Tour phenomenon. Now he is a chart-topping, Grammy-nominated comedian and a feature film actor. Known as a classic storyteller, he relays real-life tales from growing up in a small town in Texas to his daily life as one of the most successful comedians in America.

All four of his comedy albums charted No. 1 on the BillboardTM Comedy Charts. He has sold more than 14 million albums (solo and with the Blue Collar Comedy Tour) and been nominated for two Grammys. Since 2004, he has been one of the top three grossing stand-up comedians on tour in America.

The show is for mature audiences over age 18. It is presented by A.P.P.S. Concerts Council.
