Everts begins first day as Appalachian’s seventh leader

BOONE—Dr. Sheri N. Everts began her tenure July 1 as Appalachian State University’s seventh leader. Her first day in office included a listening breakfast with representatives from Appalachian’s Student Government Association, Faculty Senate and Staff Senate.

Later, she hosted a luncheon at Appalachian House for local elected officials, area business leaders and others. Everts also hosted an afternoon reception for staff members and attended the Appalachian Athletics/Sun Belt Conference Celebration Day held off campus. Future plans call for meeting with students and faculty when classes resume for fall semester.
