Eating Disorders Awareness Week is Feb. 24-March 2

BOONE—A week of events to promote healthy body image and raise awareness about eating disorders for men and women will be held Feb. 24-March 2 at Appalachian State University.

“Body Language,” a panel of professionals talking about eating disorders and recovery, 6 p.m. in Plemmons Student Union’s New River Room

“Rock your Body,” 8:30-9:30 p.m. in the Quinn Center

Tuesday, Feb. 25
“How to Feel Confident in One Hour,” 12:30 p.m. in Plemmons Student Union’s Beacon Heights Room

“Do’s and Don’ts of Nutritional Supplements” at 6 p.m. in Room 202 Student Recreation Center

Wednesday, Feb. 26
“Mindful Eating: Make Peace with What’s on your Plate,” 4 p.m. in Plemmons Student Union’s Three Top Mountain Room

Thursday, Feb. 27
“How to Help a Friend with an Eating Disorder,” 5:30 p.m. in Plemmons Student Union’s Linville Falls Room
