BOONE—Theater Delta will present “Be Rea$onable” on Wednesday, Nov. 13, as part of the 2013-14 Diversity Lecture Series at Appalachian State University.
The performance begins at 7 p.m. in the Blue Ridge Ballroom of Plemmons Student Union. The event is free and the public is invited.
In its performance, Theater Delta will use interactive theater to challenge economic inequity, wealth and economic power, socio-economic status and how these issues affect students.
Audience members will witness realistic situations where characters experience a series of conflicts. This format allows for unique interaction with characters and deeper learning about social issues, motivations, assumptions, attitudes and behaviors.
Theater Delta has been featured on National Public Radio (NPR) and other news media outlets.
Theater Delta is based in Chapel Hill. Its director, Ben Saypol, has been working in interactive and community based theater for eight years and is a leader in the field. Theater Delta has a long client list, which includes The United States Army, Duke University, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and others.
The 2013-14 Diversity Lecture Series is sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Student Development. For more information, contact Augusto Pena at firstname.lastname@example.org or 262-6158.
