BOONE—Richard Dieter, executive director of the Death Penalty Information Center will speak March 25 at Appalachian State University.
Dieter is a nationally recognized expert on capital punishment. His talk, “Capital Punishment in the USA and Around the World,” begins at 6 p.m. in Room 114 Belk Library and Information Commons.
Dieter’s most recent publications are “Smart on Crime: Reconsidering the Death Penalty in a Time of Economic Crisis,” “A Crisis of Confidence: Americans’ Doubts About the Death Penalty” and “The Death Penalty in Black and White: Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Decides.”
