Repertory Orchestra and Concert Band perform Feb. 25

BOONE—The Appalachian Repertory Orchestra and Appalachian Concert Band will perform Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. in Broyhill Music Center’s Rosen Concert Hall. Admission is free.

Williams Selle will conduct the orchestra, which will perform the first movement of Elgar’s “Serenade for Strings,” Carrie Gruselle’s arrangement of Beethoven’s “Für Elise” and Johann Stamitz’s “Mannheim Sinfonia in G.”

The concert band will perform “Raging Machines” by Brian Balmages, “Tribute” by Travis Cross and “English Folk Song Suite and Sea Songs” by R. Vaughan Williams.

Dr. John Stanley Ross conducts the concert band assisted by graduate student conductors Brooke Humfeld and Justin Hensley.
