Entrepreneur Summit held Nov. 9 at Appalachian

BOONE—The Transportation Insight Center for Entrepreneurship’s 10th Annual Carole Moore McLeod Entrepreneur Summit will be held Nov. 9 in the Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University.

Multiple concurrent sessions will begin at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. with a complimentary breakfast beginning at 8 a.m. No registration is necessary. The event is free and open to the public.

More than 50 business owners from around the United States will participate in the summit. For a complete schedule and list of businesses participating in the event, visit http://entrepreneurship.appstate.edu.

Speakers will talk about their experiences as a business owner, including starting a business, growing the business, and failing or selling the business. Many will speak on what field of business they are in, the challenges they’ve faced, how they’ve kept going through tough economic times, adapted to changes in technology, and plans for success and growth in the future.
