BOONE—The Reich College of Education at Appalachian State University will host Linda and Cheryl Brown, daughters of the late Rev. Oliver L. Brown, for a program April 18 on campus. Oliver Brown was the main plaintiff in the landmark 1954 Supreme Court case Brown v. Board of Education. [more]

BOONE—Professors Terry Cole and Kenneth Jenkins have been awarded emeritus status by the Appalachian State University Board of Trustees during their meeting March 23. Both professors will complete the UNC system’s three-year phased retirement program in June. [more]
