Appalachian offers Cre8tive Drama Day Camp June 27-July 1

creativedrama_t.jpgBOONE—Appalachian State  University’s Department of Theatre and Dance offers Cre8tive Drama Day Camp for young people ages 6-16 June 27-July 1 in I.G. Greer Studio Theatre on campus.  The camp meets from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily.

Appalachian’s Cycling Team crowned Atlantic Coast Conference Cycling Division 1 Champions

BOONE — Catherine J. Smith Gallery at Appalachian State University presents the BFA Senior Studio Exhibition: Spring 2011 April 26 – May 6. The gallery is located in Farthing Auditorium. Gallery hours are weekdays from 8 a.m. – 10 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 10 p.m., and Sundays from noon – 10 p.m. Gallery admission is free.

The Appalachian student newspaper judged first class with three marks of distinction

BOONE—The Appalachian, the student newspaper at Appalachian State University, was recently judged First Class in the Associated Collegiate Press’s annual critique of member newspapers.

Appalachian featured in “The Princeton Review’s Guide to Green Colleges”

Camp Invention offers scholarship opportunities

BOONE—The local chapter of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) has made a donation for partial scholarships to assist three girls in the High Country attend Camp Invention offered through Appalachian State University’s Office of Conference and Camp Services.

Campus siren warning system tested May 4
