Research conducted in the College of Health Sciences’ Department of Health, Leisure and Exercise Science at Appalachian State University has shown that resistance training has some similar effects as aerobic exercise in lowering a person’s blood pressure. [more]

BOONE—Appalachian State University has signed a formal agreement with Duy Tan University (DTU) in Vietnam paving the way for student and faculty exchanges at both institutions. The agreement was signed Nov. 19 by Dr. Lorin Baumhover, provost and interim executive vice chancellor at Appalachian, and Professor Bao Le Nguyen, vice provost and director of academic affairs at DTU.
