Works for saxophone performed Nov. 15

BOONE—Classical and contemporary works for saxophone will be featured during a Nov. 15 performance at Appalachian State University. The program begins at 8 p.m. in Broyhill Music Center’s Rosen Concert Hall. Admission is free.

The program includes Jean-Baptiste Singelée’s “Allegro de Concert,” the Welsh lullaby “Suo Gan,” Bart Howard’s “Fly Me to the Moon,” Percy Grainger’s “Irish Tune from County Derry” and “Shepherd’s Hey,” Arcangelo Corelli’s “Sonata da chiesa, Op 3, No. 2” and Ronald L. Caravan’s “Jubilate!”

Scott Kallestad directs the musicians.
