Celebrate Homecoming the Mountaineer Way!

Give to Appalachian | Appalachian Today | Appalachian Alumni

homecoming09_m.jpgMake your final homecoming plans! The 5th-30th reunion year classes (1979-2004) will be recognized at the Alumni Affairs tent on Duck Pond Field as part of “Solid Gold” Homecoming celebration Oct. 10. Now is a great time to honor your reunion class, and support programs and opportunities for today’s students, with your annual gift.

Many class members of these special reunion years already have made their annual gifts to the university thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Appalachian Fund’s student callers. There’s still time for you to add your gift.

“Now more than ever, annual gifts by alumni, parents and friends fill the critical gaps between public funding and Appalachian’s determination to enhance the programs and opportunities we offer deserving students,” says Dan Frezza, Appalachian’s director of annual giving.

“Homecoming reunion year gifts from members of the class of 2004, 1999, 1994, 1989, 1984 and 1979 – combined with all annual gifts – help ensure that the university can continue providing scholarships, faculty development, innovative academic programs and opportunities outside the classroom. That’s what makes the Appalachian experience as unique and special today as it was for previous generations of Mountaineers,” he said.
