Appalachian State University Golf Classic to be held Sept. 16 at Tanglewood Park

BOONE—This year’s Appalachian State Scholarship Golf Classic, benefiting Appalachian’s Walker College of Business, will be held Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons. The event is sponsored by 4 Brothers Food Stores and Beroth Oil Company Inc.

The tournament format is a foursome captain’s choice, with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Special features include prizes for closest to the pin, longest drive and hole-in-one, mulligans (two per player) and raffle.

Walker College of Business Dean Randy Edwards and Appalachian’s Chancellor Kenneth E. Peacock will both be on the course and at the post-tournament lunch at the Red Barn.

Registration is now open for corporate sponsors and individual participants.

Entry fees are $250 for individuals and $850 for corporate sponsors (includes four complimentary players).  Each entry includes green and cart fees, complimentary beverages, goody bag and lunch.

Proceeds will help provide financial support for student scholarships, faculty research and professorships in the Walker College of Business.
