Jeff Pennypacker, an ice sculptor at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, created this Appalachian-themed sculpture for the chancellor’s reception held at the historic inn Nov. 17. Pennypacker used colored sand to create the frozen logo. The project, which was donated to the function, took more than four hours to complete.
