BOONE—Students studying Chinese at Appalachian State University and families and friends of the Chinese community in Boone gathered Sept. 25 on campus to celebrate the Chinese Moon Festival. [more]

BOONE—More than $85,000 in grants has been awarded to faculty at Appalachian State University through a program called Appalachian Foundation Fellows Grants.

The grants, supported by private donations to the Appalachian State University Foundation, support projects that will enhance a faculty member’s career development in teaching, scholarship or creative activity, and/or service. Each award is limited to $5,000. [more]
