Fall Open House to be held Sept. 15

BOONE – Appalachian State University’s annual Fall Open House for prospective students and their families will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, in Holmes Convocation Center.

The event begins at 9 a.m. with a family assembly, followed by an information fair from 9:30 to noon.

Fall Open House activities give prospective students and their families an opportunity to speak with representatives from the offices of admission and financial aid, as well as academic areas, athletics and various campus support areas.

Tours of the campus and residence halls will be provided by the Appalachian Student Ambassadors. Academic departments will also conduct departmental open houses.

Visitors are invited to stay for the Mountaineer football game against Northern Arizona University at 3:30 p.m. in Kidd Brewer Stadium. Tickets are available at a reduced price during the Information Fair from 9:30 a.m. to noon. These tickets are for seating on the visitor’s side of the stadium. For information on reserved seat football tickets, call 1-800-919- APPS (2777).

Parking is available in the following lots without charge: Hill Street and Thomas Hall. Disability parking will be available in the Holmes Center parking lot. Shuttle service will be provided from Hill Street and Raley Hall parking areas. Security officers will be available to direct traffic. Parking will also be available in the Rivers Street Parking Deck and Edwin Duncan/Raley Hall lot for a minimal charge.
