BOONE—Mike Evans, a professor of hospitality and tourism management in Appalachian State University’s Walker College of Business, has received a 2007-08 faculty internship from the Club Managers Association of America.

As part of the internship, Evans will attend the 2007 Leadership/Legislative Conference this fall in New York City.

The internship also includes tours of several New York-area clubs, including the New York Athletic Club, New York Yacht Club, Westchester Country Club, The Beach Point Club and the Penn Club.

Evans will work with members of the North Carolina Club Management Association during the 2007-08 academic year to provide more opportunities for Appalachian students to become involved in the professional development group.
