Community invited to visit/use Belk Library at Appalachian

BOONE—Carol G. Belk Library and Information Commons at Appalachian State University welcomes community users or visitors to use its wealth of resources.

The library offers free Internet access, and has a cyber cafe coffee shop that is open during most hours that the library is open. Community borrower cards are available for $10 per year.

Free parking is available for visitors in the parking garage adjacent to the library for 30 minutes. Parking is free after 5 p.m. each weekday and on weekends. For parking longer than 30 minutes, visitors may park in metered spots on College Street or in the Rivers Street Parking Deck.

Visitor parking passes are also available from the university’s parking and traffic office.

During the summer, the library is open on the following schedule:

Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sunday, 2 to 10 p.m.

There are some exceptions to the schedule between summer sessions and on holidays.
