Financial Planning Certification Program offered at Appalachian

BOONE—The Financial Planning Center at Appalachian State University will begin an Executive Financial Planning Program Sept. 12 in the Walker College of Business, located in Raley Hall.

The on-campus classes will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m. in six-week modules.

Participants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. A year of experience in a financial field is recommended.

The cost is $700 per course. Courses include Fundamentals of Financial Planning, Estate Planning, and Risk Management and Insurance Planning.

Appalachian’s program is registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. (CFP Board). Courses meet the educational requirements for the CFP® Certification.
