Holocaust Symposium Held June 28-July 3 at Appalachian

BOONE–The Martin and Doris Rosen Summer Symposium “Remembering the Holocaust” will be held June 28-July 3 at Appalachian State University’s Broyhill Inn and Conference Center.

Sunday Summer Concert Series Continues June 15 at Appalachian

BOONE–Flutist Akal Dev Sharonne will perform in concert on Sunday, June 15, at 7:30 p.m. in Broyhill Music Center’s recital hall at Appalachian State University.

“Catfish Moon” Presented June 24-26

BOONE–The Appalachian State University Department of Theatre and Dance and Asheville’s Highland Repertory Theatre will co-produce the comedy “Catfish Moon” June 24-26 in Valborg Theatre on campus.

Regional Economy Showing Signs of Life

BOONE–Economic activity in western North Carolina marked the first significant growth in six months during March, according to the Western North Carolina Economic Index, which rose 0.4 percent in March to 121.7, the highest level in two years.
