Williams to Appear on UNC-TV’s Black Issues Forum

BOONE–Harry Williams, associate vice chancellor for diversity at Appalachian State University, will appear on UNC-TV’s Black Issues Forum on Friday, May 23, for a roundtable discussion on affirmative action.

Williams will be joined by fellow panelists Vernon Robinson, a member of the Winston-Salem City Council, and Charles Daye, a professor in the UNC School of Law.

The program airs at 9:30 p.m. and can be viewed in Watauga County on Charter Cable channel 13.

Black Issues Forum is UNC-TV’s weekly public affairs program about North Carolina’s African American community and concerns.

The panelists will discuss affirmative action policies and practices and the University of Michigan affirmative action case.

The 25-minute discussion will be moderated by host Natalie Bullock Brown, a producer and reporter for UNC-TV’s nightly news magazine North Carolina Now.
