Appalachian’s Spring Open House is April 12

BOONE–Wondering just how much stuff you can fit into a dorm room? Learn about academic and social life at a university and life in a residence hall during Spring Open House on Saturday, April 12, at Appalachian State University.

The event is sponsored by the Office of Admissions to acquaint prospective students and their parents about Appalachian.

Activities begin with an information fair at the Holmes Convocation Center from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Representatives from academic departments and other areas of campus will be available to answer questions.

Campus tours will be offered from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Departmental open houses will be held from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Faculty members will be available to answer questions, provide academic information and lead departmental tours.

Wondering just how much stuff you can fit into a dorm room? Check out campus residence halls from 10 a.m. to noon. Several residence halls will have rooms available to view.

Mini sessions on admissions, financial aid, Freshman Learning Communities, scholarships and other areas will be held in the Holmes Center and the Office of Admissions. Each session lasts approximately 20 minutes. Details will be provided at the information fair’s entrance in the Holmes Center.

Parking is available in the Rivers Street parking deck, Hill Street lot, Thomas Hall parking area, and the Edwin Duncan/Raley Hall lot.
