Treble Choir Fall Concert is Nov. 3

103000t_choir.jpgBOONE — Appalachian State University’s School of Music presents the Treble Choir Fall Concert on Nov. 3 at 8 p.m. in the Rosen Concert Hall, Broyhill Music Center.

Admission is free and the public is welcome.The concert opens with Martin Shaw’s “With a Voice of Singing” followed by “Laudi alla vergine Maria” from Dante’s “Paradiso” by Giuseppe Verdi.

Also performed will be “Ave Maria” by Bach-Gounod, arranged by Livingston; “Ma Navu” by Spivak, arranged by Wolfman; “Crawdad Hole,” arranged by Goetze; and “Johnny Has Gone For a Soldier,” arranged by Churchill.

Anthony Ritchie’s “Songs of the City” features Alyssa Torres on flute and Joel Wenger on cello.

The choir also performs “Let All Things Now Living,” arranged by Bement, and “Sing to the Lord of Harvest,” arranged by Healy Willan featuring Jack Malone and Adam Payne on trumpet, Stacy Buchman on horn, Wes Allred on trombone, Rodney Workman on tuba, and Erin Mazzio on euphonium.

The concert concludes with “May the Road Rise to Meet You” by David Hamilton, featuring Greg Simmons on guitar.
